Sewing Workshop

  • 6001 West 16th Avenue Lakewood, CO, 80214 United States (map)

Instead of ordering aprons, pouches or folders from a catalogue, what if you could make them? Children are naturally drawn to the beauty of varying textures and colors in fabric. With handmade materials, this sensorial enrichment can take place throughout your home or classroom! This workshop will start with a discussion of fabrics and their cultural connotations. Participants will learn basic sewing skills by hand and/or using a sewing machine - all levels are welcome. At the end of the workshop, you will have a finished, handmade product and a fresh understanding of how to share it with children. Enjoy a relaxing morning of sewing and leave with renewed inspiration for beautifying your learning environment.

Cost :: $50 plus material cost based on chosen project (light refreshments)
